WORSHIP SERVICE SCHEDULE CHANGE

The Church Council has been working since September on future goals for our ministry together.  At its meeting on January 9, 2012 the Council unanimously approved combining our two present worship services into one and beginning an alternative worship service.

Tentative Proposed Schedule
            9:15 AM – Traditional Worship Experience beginning February 19
                        Children’s Ministry during the worship. 
                        Choir, Acolytes, Ushers - Maintain present traditions.

            10:30 – 11:00   Fellowship / coffee time between services.
                                               
            10:45 or 11:00  Adult SS Classes presently meeting would continue.

            11:00 AM – “The WAY” (working title) – Alternative Worship Experience
                        Whose Are You? – Identity         Children’s Ministry during worship.
                        Begins Easter Sunday.

Implementation Schedule:

• January 15 – Announce change in worship services.
• January 22 – Congregational Meeting 9:45 AM – 10:30 AM
• February 19 – Combine worship services and begin 9:15 Traditional Worship Time.  Children’s ministry begins during service.  No alternative worship service.
• February 19 – March 25    11 AM  Prayer and Team Training for “The WAY”
• Palm Sunday – April 1, 2012 – “Soft” Launch (Dress Rehearsal).  Practice all elements of “The WAY” schedule including Children’s ministry.
• Easter – April 8, 2012 – Full Scale Launch of “The WAY”

 INFORMATION MEETING – Everyone is invited to a question, answer, and feedback time next Sunday from 9:45 to 10:30 AM in the sanctuary with members of the Church Council and Pastor Chris.
