GREETERS WANTED We would like to have some new faces for greeters for the 9:15 and 11:00 services.  If you would like to be a greeter for either service, let the church office know. You would need to be here about one half hour before the service.

THE MISSION COMMITTEE
will be collecting specific items each month through-out the year to support Operation Christmas Child.  For March, we will be accepting donations of tooth brushes and tooth paste.  Place your items in the box marked Operation Christmas Child which is in the  narthex/greeting area.  If you have questions, please see Heather Green or Carrie Libengood.

ST.PAUL UMC needs help for Homework.  We tutor on Thursday each week, one on one from 4-5 P.M.  This can be a little flexible depending on schedules.  We follow the school calendar.  We are planning to start in Oct. and end the second Thursday in May.  No requirements except the desire to help children with their own homework.  Clearances are required.  I also conduct a brief training to acquaint tutors with extra help sheets that are available and a few other details.  Please call Dorothy Detwiler at 724-925-3140 or  the church office at   724-925-2761.

CHOIR REHEARSAL  has begun every Wed. 6:15 P.M. in the choir room next to Fellowship Hall.  If you can carry a tune, we need you!  If you are considering the invitation, please contact Pat Miller at 724-925-3865.

PAWS  “Pets Are Working Saints”  We would like to start a new ministry.  We want to visit Ridgeview Nursing Home once a month with our pets.  You do not need to have a pet to go.  Please call Timi Fowler at 724-925-1115 with any questions.

DEVELOPING COOPERATIVE MINISTRIES
FOR THE ADVANCEMENT
OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD
YOU are invited to be a part of an eight week study on Tuesday evenings beginning January 7.  We are looking for members and leadership from both St. Paul and Christ UM Churches to be involved.  PLEASE REGISER FOR PARTNERSHIP STUDY at the church’s office, and pick up your Partnership Study guide.
TOPICS:  History of Cooperative Ministries
                 Theology and Vision of Partnerships.
CRITICAL ISSUES to be explored:  our mission/purpose, survival mentality, identity blocks, what process enhances a partnership, images of church, staffing ministry, and church structure for maintenance of mission.  Each of these topics will help us explore how we might join hearts and hands in ministry to advance the Kingdom of God.

THURSDAY NIGHT BASKETBALL

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL will be held June 23-27.  This year’s theme is “Weird Animals”, where Jesus’ love is one of a kind!  VBS is open to children ages 3 and up from Youngwood and surrounding communities free of charge.  Adults are welcome to assist in the many aspects of program delivery.  Find your spot at VBS!  For more information call Sharon Young at 724-925-0225.

CAMP ALLEGHENY BOOSTER DINNER  Sunday, April 27 at 5:30 P.M.  Reservations must be in by April 18.

FOOD, FUN, & FELLOWSHIP  Tuesday, March 25 here at CUMC at 6 P.M.  Our speaker and entertainment will be Jim Walker.  Jim is the founder of the Hot Metal Bridge Church on the Southside and is now on the WPA Conf. staff.  Jim is a great communicator and uses drama in every presentation.

IGNITE CONFERENCE for young women (20’s/30’s) Free event at Seton Hill Univ., Cecilian Hall April 12 from 9-3 P.M.  Understanding God’s burning Love and desire for you.

BRAVE MEN  We are looking for some brave men to volunteer to sing for the women on Mother’s Day, May 11.  Ladies needed to return the favor for Father’s Day, June 15. These are for the 9:15 service.  See or call Pat Miller at 724-925-3865.

NEW SERMON SERIES kicks off April 27.  “EASTER’S STILL HAPPENING”.  Jesus is still appearing to the unlikely ones.  Those who are troubled, discouraged and confused.  Jesus is still appearing at homes and at work.
