GREETERS WANTED We would like to have some new faces for greeters for the 9:15 and 11:00 services. If you would like to be a greeter for either service, let the church office know. You would need to be here about one half hour before the service.
THE MISSION COMMITTEE
will be collecting specific items each month through-out the year to support Operation Christmas Child. For March, we will be accepting donations of tooth brushes and tooth paste. Place your items in the box marked Operation Christmas Child which is in the narthex/greeting area. If you have questions, please see Heather Green or Carrie Libengood.
DEVELOPING COOPERATIVE MINISTRIES
FOR THE ADVANCEMENT
OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD
YOU are invited to be a part of an eight week study on Tuesday evenings beginning January 7. We are looking for members and leadership from both St. Paul and Christ UM Churches to be involved. PLEASE REGISER FOR PARTNERSHIP STUDY at the church’s office, and pick up your Partnership Study guide.
TOPICS: History of Cooperative Ministries
Theology and Vision of Partnerships.
CRITICAL ISSUES to be explored: our mission/purpose, survival mentality, identity blocks, what process enhances a partnership, images of church, staffing ministry, and church structure for maintenance of mission. Each of these topics will help us explore how we might join hearts and hands in ministry to advance the Kingdom of God.
GREETERS & SCRIPTURE READERS are needed for April through July. There is a sign up sheet on the table in the greeting area. Please help us out.
NURSERY HELPERS NEEDED! There is a sign up sheet on wall in nursery. Please help us out.
SETH SOCK DRIVE FOR HOSPITALIZED VETERANS
PLEASE DONATE NEW, WHITE, COTTON, CREW LENGTH SOCKS! Every year since 1985, during the Labor Day Weekend, the Volunteers of Sharing and Caring Inc. host river boat cruises aboard the Gateway Clipper Fleet. The guests of honor are approximately 1,000 Pgh. Area hospitalized Veterans. Many of these veterans are confined to wheel chairs, and this event provides them with a relaxing day filled with food, and wheel-chair dancing. During the event, each Vet receives a “ditty” bag filled with personal items. One of these items…new socks. This is where you come in! I need your help to assure each veteran will receive at lease two pairs of socks.
