NURSERY HELPERS NEEDED! There is a sign up sheet on wall in nursery. Please help us out.
The New Clothing Closet is getting underway. We are in need of a few volunteers. A sign-up sheet with a list help needed will be on the table in the Narthex. We are in immediate need of racks, shelves & hangers. So we are not bombarded all at once with clothing, please follow the donation schedule: If your last name starts with A-H please begin bringing your clothing donations the week of August 2nd, I-Q the week of August 9th, & R-Z the week of August 16th. We will also be accepting small household items, please hold off on those until the week of August 23rd. You may bring items to church on Sunday or drop them off from 10am-2pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays in the month of August. Place GENTLY USED items in the donation box in the downstairs hallway of the Christian education wing. Our first official date of operation will be Sept. 5th from 9-11am. More info soon!!!
The G.I.F.T. Group is beginning a card ministry. Every month they’ll send cards to shut-ins & a local nursing home. If you’d like to help out with this ministry, they would appreciate donations of cards & postage stamps. “Thinking of You” or blank cards are most helpful. Donations can be given to Patti Miller on Sundays or dropped off in the office, labeled “G.I.F.T. Group.” Thank you!
Children’s Prayer Board K-Force is starting a prayer ministry. They’ve been learning to pray for others needs & would like to pray for you. Each week, after today, you’ll find their Prayer Board in the Narthex. Please grab a set of praying hands from the pocket on the front of the board. Write your prayer request on it & pin it to the board. The children will then pray for that need/concern.
Facility Rental Please keep in mind that we have a great facility here for rent. The summer months are pretty open. Please contact the office, if you or someone you know is interested in renting the pavilion or a part of the building.
Ink Cartridges If you don’t recycle your ink cartridges at home or work, please consider dropping them off in the office. We can recycle them for credit towards our office supply purchases.
Sign Changer We have been very blessed over the past 2 years to have Don Deutsch Change our front sign for us every 3-4 weeks. Since he & Nancy have moved, we have a need for someone new to volunteer to take care of this. Please contact the office, if you are able to help out with this project.

Church Family Retreat IT IS NOT TOO SOON…to begin thinking about winter retreat at Camp Allegheny February 3-5, 2017, in Spruce Lodge. We hope for many returning and new faces this year!
We’ll meet soon to discuss ideas for a theme, a speaker, costs, etc, but for now we are going to begin fundraising to offset the speaker & cost per person. The second Sundays of October thru January & the fifth Sundays of October and January, retreat attendees will host mission café for benefit of the retreat. This is a total of 6 dates. Please try to help out at as many of these as you are able. Last year we fully raised the cost of our speaker & offset the cost per person considerably for the retreat.
