Mary and Martha
Community Ministry

M&M’s, Mary and Martha Ministry, is a community of women whose mission is to  choose to spend time with Jesus learning His teachings (like Mary a woman of quiet reflection) and then to serve others (like Martha a woman of action).

The M&M's women's group consists of women of all ages whose desire is to be of service to others in what ever way the Lord leads us.

We meet on the second Tuesday of the month. Each meeting lasts approximately one hour. Those extending over an hour do so because of any work being done for a particular mission. Child care is offered at all meetings with each woman present contributing one dollar to pay our two sitters. During the summer months we will not have regular meetings. We will instead have a social event that will be decided upon by the group. If you can not attend the meetings you may still become active in the group. A newsletter of activities is sent out each month to those expressing interest.

Our ministry is funded by holding luncheons, dinners, creating a cookbook, Watkins sales and just about anything to do with food.

 Below are highlighted a few of the missions that we have started. We are always looking for new ways to serve.

• Clothing collection, over 2300 lbs. collected and distributed.
• Care packages sent to college students, both local and away. This will be done in the fall.
• Respite care service provided to allow care givers a break. Teams of two are assigned to a specific family and will work only with that family to form a bond of trust with the patient and care giver.
• Martha Ministries Meals provided to families after a birth or hospitalization to ease their recovery.
• Children's Cooking Classes provided for kids grades 4&5.
• Blanket Ministry, we make no-sew blankets and send them where they are needed.
• New ministries and projects every year.

Becoming a part of the M&M's Community Ministry will provide you with multiple choices of service, spending time in devotion and prayer and being in fellowship with a wonderful group of women dedicated to serving Jesus Christ.

Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:
*Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them
*Drive carefully; It’s not only cars that can be recalled by their makers.
*If you can’t be kind, at least have the decency to be vague,
*It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to be kind to others.
*Nobody cares if you can’t dance well, just get up and dance.
*Since it’s the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
*The second mouse gets the cheese.
*When everything’s coming your way, you’re in the wrong lane.
*Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.
*You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.
*Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
*We could learn a lot from crayons...Some are sharp, some are pretty, and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but all have to live in the same box.
*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
